EU CONCERN – CHINA QUOTAS

EUROPEAN Union (EU) trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy has said the European Commission will investigate the risk posed to EU textile producers by the imposition of quotas on Chinese exports into the USA market of knitted fabrics, bras, dressing gowns, and robes. Lamy said: "We are aware that safeguards can create trade diversion. I'll look into it closely as to whether or not there is a risk."
