EU CASE TO FIGHT DUTIES ON CHINESE TEXTILE FINISHING CHEMICALS

ITALIAN chemical manufacturers Far Polymers Srl, Gamma Chimica SpA, Carbochem Srl and Jeniuschem Srl have asked the European Court of Justice (ECJ) to scrap anti-dumping duties imposed last September (2020) by the European Commission on imports from China of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). This chemical is used to strengthen textile yarns and make adhesives, as well as helping make plastics – a key concern of the Italians.
