BY KEITH NUTHALLTHE UNITED Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the European Commission are teaming up to introduce two new manufacturing standards in the European Union (EU): one on anti-theft protection and another on reducing the flammability of materials used inside cars. The former covers all equipment and parts fitted to or used independently on vehicles "to prevent unauthorised use."
