EU AUDITORS TO ASSESS WHETHER EUROPEAN PASSENGER PROTECTION RULES ARE EFFECTIVE

THE EUROPEAN Union’s (EU) financial watchdog is to assess whether EU rules protecting air passengers’ rights are effective. The Luxembourg-based European Court of Auditors will assess whether the laws themselves have proved useful, whether they have been enforced properly and if their operation has been properly monitored by the European Commission, the EU executive.
