EU APPROVES TOYOBO’S POLYACRYLATE AS NEW TEXTILE NAME

‘Polyacrylate’ becomes the European Union’s newest officially-recognised textile name and label on February 15 under new European Commission delegated regulation (2018/122) to be published in the EU’s Official Journal.  The regulation adds polyacrylate, currently made by Japanese textile manufacturer Toyobo, to the list of names set out in annexes to the EU’s 2011 regulation on textile fibre names and related labelling and marking of the fibre composition of textile products (1007/2011).
