EU ANALYSING IMPACT OF RUSSIAN MEAT IMPORT BAN

THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) is currently assessing the impact of Russia’s ban of beef, pork and poultry meat imports from the bloc, which was announced today by the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in response to sanctions over the situation in Ukraine.According to European Commission spokesman Frederic Vincent, Brussels is still waiting to have more information on the full content and extent of the ban. “Following full assessment by the Commission of the Russian Federation's measures, we reserve the right to take action as appropriate,” he said, noting that a ...
