BY KEITH NUTHALLA EUROPEAN Union (EU) regulation has been proposed by the European Commission, setting out common rules for the manufacture and labelling of enriched foodstuffs including additional vitamins, minerals and substances such as herbal extracts. The legislation would harmonise EU national rules, allowing the free circulation of fortified foods.
