THE NEED to think out of the box to reduce carbon emissions and pollution is becoming increasingly appreciated in the Asia-Pacific region. And the coatings sector offers a range of solutions to reduce energy use. This is especially important as air conditioning becomes more widespread, chewing up energy in the region's often fiercely hot summers: very few Asia-Pacific countries have cool temperate climates.
