EMSA RELEASES NEW OTC DERIVATIVES BOOKKEEPING RULES

BY KEITH NUTHALL THE EUROPEAN Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published technical standards saying how OTC (over-the counter) derivatives should be logged and accounted for within the European Union (EU). EMSA has defined what details of derivatives transactions need to be reported to trade repositories and also what it should receive, so it can properly regulate these repositories.
