BY KEITH NUTHALLA NEW European Union-wide electromagnetic safety standard for the testing of mobile telephones has been released by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardisation, (CENELEC), which is supposed to guarantee that users will not be exposed to excessive radiation exposure.It will apply to all mobile telephones sold in the EU and follows consultations with manufacturers, giving them further guidance, especially over agreed new testing methods involving the use of dummy heads filled with test devices.A European Commission statement said ...
