BY MARK ROWEEMPLOYERS across the European Union will be required to carry out risk assessments of the dangers to their staff from radio, television and mobile phone masts in future, following agreement of a directive in principle by the EU Council of Ministers. It provides for preventive measures against induced electric currents, shocks and burns, and the absorption of thermal energy produced by electromagnetic fields.
