ELECTRICAL WASTE

FINAL approval has been granted by the European Commission and the EU Council of Ministers to two directives controlling the disposal of waste electronic equipment and associated hazardous chemicals. Most of the rules enter into force in 30 months. They give manufacturers the responsibility for financing the management of consumer electronic and electrical waste.
