EIB TO LEND EURO 20 MILLION TO BUDAPEST AIRPORT

THE EUROPEAN Investment Bank (EIB) has confirmed that it will lend EUR200 million to Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, Hungary, to finance major upgrades, including building a new Pier B, renewing airfield ground lighting, constructing a new cargo centre, upgrading the baggage handling system with the most recent Standard 3, and possibly helping fund plans to build a new Terminal 3. The money may also help Budapest airport build a multi-storey car park. Welcoming the EIB loan, Budapest Airport CEO Jost Lammers said more than EUR700 million from all ...
