EIB STEPS UP IN MAJOR ITALY GAS LINE EXPANSION PROJECT

THE EUROPEAN Investment Bank (EIB) is planning to lend Societa Gasdotti Italia EUR100 million to help it extend central and southern Italy gas transmission pipelines. This money would fund half the planned cost of a EUR200 million 2018-2022 programme. It would improve the integration of gas storage and production sites in central and southern Italy with the country’s national gas transport network.
