THE ATLANTIC state of Cape Verde is to build a new air traffic control centre on the island of Sal, using a European Investment Bank loan to help it modernise the air transport infrastructure within its archipelago. The EIB is lending national public services company Empresa Nacional de Aeroporto e Segurança Aérea Euro 20 million to carry out the work, which is designed to promote tourism in Cape Verde.
