EGYPT V TURKEY

THE DISPUTES Settlement Body of the World Organisation has set up a panel to settle the row between Turkey and Egypt, over the anti-dumping duties that have been imposed by Cairo on Turkish imports of concrete steel reinforcing bar.

Its move follows the failure of talks staged between the two governments to resolve the issue.

Turkey claims that the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Supply had failed to follow WTO rules in setting up the duties, notably by not providing "positive evidence," that Turkish imports were causing ...
