THE EUROPEAN Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has said that eating meat and dairy products made from cloned livestock is not inherently less safe than from naturally bred animals. However, it has noted that statistically, cloned animals have themselves proven to be less healthy than their natural counterparts, and so meat and dairy from clones could be of lower quality and more prone to contamination by disease.
