EFSA RAISES CONCERN ABOUT ALUMINIUM CONTAINER CONTAMINATION

BY KEITH NUTHALL THE EUROPEAN Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has raised concerns about aluminium leaching from food and drink packaging into food and drink. EFSA scientists have concluded that a safe level of such contamination (a Tolerable Weekly Intake - TWI) is 1 milligram of aluminium per kilogram of body weight.
