BY KEITH NUTHALLTHE EUROPEAN Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has confirmed its conclusion reached last year that British cattle has only a moderate risk of being infected with BSE, under Office International des Épizooties (OIE) guidelines. EFSA's Scientific Panel on Biological Hazards assessed new surveillance data from the UK government, covering outbreaks up to last September (2004) before making its latest decision.
