EFSA ASKS INDEPENDENT FOOD SAFETY EXPERTS TO HELP WITH RISK ASSESSMENTS

INDEPENDENT food safety experts have been asked to help the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) deal with its growing workload of risk assessments. It is creating a database of specialists which it can call upon to help develop informed advice on sometimes controversial issues, such as the safety of GM foodstuffs.
