ECONOMIC GROWTH FREES MALAYSIANS TO BUY FOREIGN CARS

OVERSEAS car makers are gaining an increasing share of Malaysia's domestically-dominated automotive market, as strong economic growth drives demand for higher value cars.Total sales of new motor vehicles in 2012 grew by 27,630 units, a jump of 4.6% on 2011, with total industry volume (TIV) reaching 627,753 units, according to figures from the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA).
