ECJ REJECTS BRITANNIA ZINC CARTEL FINE APPEAL

THE EUROPEAN Court of Justice (ECJ) has dismissed an appeal by British anti-corrosion mineral pigment producer Britannia Alloys and Chemicals Ltd against a Euro 3.37 million fine from the European Commission for participation in a zinc phosphate cartel. The chemical is widely used in protective coating systems in the automotive, aeronautic and marine sectors.
