EC MANDATES LIFE ENVIRONMENT SPENDING PROGRAMME

A SOPHISTICATED computer programme uniting the wide range of water quality monitoring demanded by the European Union's (EU) water framework directive, is one of two British projects securing Euro 2.4 million funding from the EU LIFE-Environment programme this year. The other, said, the European Commission, was a project improving flood management. These awards were part of Euro 66 million announced spending projects spanning the EU, many focusing on key environmental health issues.
