EBRD TO HELP FUND KYRGYZSTAN IMPROVEMENTS

THE EUROPEAN Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD) is lending EUR4.2 million (USD4.4 million) to Manas International Airport, Kyrgyzstan, to help fund the installation of a new ventilation and heating system to meet international standards. The USD10.7 million project at this Kyrgyzstan government-owned airport, which serves the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek, will also be funded by a USD5.5 million loan from the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. The project will involve “energy efficiency solutions and technologies…,” said an EBRD note.
