EBRD MOSCOW CHP PLANT LOAN SYNDICATION

BY KEITH NUTHALL THE EUROPEAN Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has syndicated in Roubles much of its 7.2 billion Rouble (US$250 million) loan to Moscow power utility Mosenergo, money that will cover half the cost of refurbishing 17 combined heat and power stations. Six international banks have cut into the deal: ING Bank (Eurasia) ZAO; ZAO Citibank; ZAO Raiffeisenbank Austria; BNP Paribas ZAO; Joint Stock Company Banque Societe Generale Vostok; and Bank WestLB Vostok (ZAO).
