EBRD BOOSTS GROWING UZBEK BREWER

BY KEITH NUTHALL THE EUROPEAN Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD) is lending Uzbekistan brewer Mekhnat Pivo Euro 6.3 million to support ambitious investment plans focused on the purchase of new brewing and fermentation-maturation equipment. The brewer - said an EBRD note - plans to improve operational productivity and strengthen its marketing and distribution.
