EASA TO DRAFT EUROPEAN GROUNDHANDLING SAFETY PLAN

THE EUROPEAN Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has asked a group of experts to draft a “road map” to establish safety controls for groundhandling services across the European Union (EU). This follows the entering into force of changes to EASA’s founding regulation last September (2018), which authorised the agency to create rules and guidance ensuring that groundhandling operations operate safely, which EASA would oversee.
