A duo behind a fraudulent green investment scheme, Global Forestry Investments, which defrauded around 2,000 investors out of their savings and pensions, have been jailed for 11 years in the UK, following a successful prosecution by the Serious Fraud Office (SFO). Andrew Nathaniel Skeene and Junie Conrad Omari Bower were convicted last month (May) on three counts of conspiracy to defraud and one count of misconduct when winding up a company.
