BY MARK ROWE BY the end of 2010, according to Britain's Institute of Nanotechnology, nano elements will be incorporated in Euro 16.4 billion's worth of annual food production across the world. This is likely to mean more work for environmental health officers. A key area where nanotechnology will directly affect food will probably be nanoencapsulation - so that vitamin pills and the like are incorporated into everyday foods, such as bread.
