THE INTERNATIONAL Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) may establish a special sub-committee to create standards for biofuels, while an alliance of the European Union (EU), the USA and Brazil has questioned the global body's ability to handle the job. At stake is the chemical definition of biodiesel, bioethanol and other fuels, easing their trade and marketing worldwide.
