A NEW global initiative to spread knowledge and equipment regarding the Internet to developing countries already has the support of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in a bid to secure annual contributions of US$30-50 million. The Development Gateway Foundation has launched an Internet portal containing training material and will create a network of research and training centres in the developing world. *http://www.developmentgateway.org/
