DENMARK COULD LOSE PORK EXPORTS TO EU UNDER TTIP

A FLOOD of American pork exports to the European Union (EU), if it strikes a major trade deal with the USA, could make Denmark lose a significant portion of its export market share in other EU member states, an environmental group is claiming. NOAH Friends of the Earth Denmark researcher Nanna L Clifforth argued to GlobalMeatNews that under a robust US-EU Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) agreement, the Danish pigmeat sector would have “no indication of being able to gain on the American market”.
