DANONE LAUNCHES ANOTHER IMPORTED INFANT FORMULA IN CHINA, USING B2C SITE

French branded food giant Danone has introduced a second infant formula brand to China, targeting its soaring imported infant formula demand. Aside from maternity stores, Danone has made Nutrilon available at Tmall, a business-to-consumer site run by China's largest online shopping platform Taobao. "We learned that over 3 million Chinese mothers are buying motherhood supplies each month at Tmall, which obviously is a great place to sell infant formulas," said Bruno Chevot, general manager at Danone Baby Nutrilon Hong Kong, which handles Nutrilon sales in China. ...
