DANISH GOVERNMENT ORDERS FULL REPORT ON LISTERIA OUTBREAK

DENMARK’S Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries (MFAF) has ordered food authorities, including the country’s food product agency Fødevarestyrelsen and Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA) to deliver a joint report by September 1 that details the root causes and implications of the outbreak of listeria in Denmark which has claimed 12 lives since August 2013.  The DVFA ordered the closure of the Danish food company Jørn A Rullepølser A/S on August 7.
