COSMETICS COMPANIES TOLD TO LOG PRODUCT DETAILS ON EU DATABASE

BY KEITH NUTHALL

THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) has launched a new online database upon which cosmetics companies must log details of their products from July 2013, under the EU's new cosmetics regulation. Until then, notifications on the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP) are voluntary. Its information will be accessed by cosmetics industry regulators, poison centres and cosmetics distributors.
