Companies are increasingly failing to report fraud cases to the law enforcement authorities worldwide, according to the latest report on occupational fraud and abuse from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). The 2018 ACFE Report to the Nations on Occupational Fraud & Abuse, the tenth in a series since 1996, shows that out of 2,690 occupational fraud cases in 125 countries that members investigated between January 2016 and October 2017, only 58% of cases were referred to law enforcement.
