COPA-COGECA SOUNDS ALARM OVER EU BEEF INDUSTRY WEAKNESS

EUROPEAN Union’s (EU) farmers association Copa-Cogeca has warned today (Friday) that the EU beef sector is “catastrophic situation”, arguing that it was no time to increase access to EU beef markets through bilateral trade talks.Negotiations with Canada are close to completion and the Canadian government is pushing for better EU market access for its beef exporters.
