COOKING OIL SOAP

Residents in Tokyo take their used cooking oil to 28 collection points in the city from where it is removed to a factory and initially filtered to remove sediments and impurities. Then it is broken down with additives used in the soap production. The resultant detergent is an additive-free detergent that sells for around Euro 6.50 (Yen 800/GBPounds 4.10) for a 1.8kg box.
