CONSTRUCTION OF DAXING AIRPORT HIGH SPEED RAIL LINE LINK BEGINS

CONSTRUCTION has begun on a fast railway linking the planned Beijing Daxing airport to the south of China’s capital city. The 41.36 km line will carry trains at up to 160 km/h and have three stations - the city station, Caoqiao, by the city’s third ring road, will have flight check in facilities. The travel time from there to the airport terminal will be just 19 minutes, according to the state-owned Beijing Urban Construction Group, which plans to open the railway in 2019, coinciding with the airport’s launch.
