CONFECTIONERY INDUSTRY CONFIDENT IT WILL MEET NEW NUTRITION LABELLING REQUIREMENTS

NUTRITIONAL labelling for confectionery and sweet bakery products sold across the European Union (EU) will become mandatory by December 13, but the industry is confident it will comply. It also generally prefers a common EU-wide system to national variants, such as the UK’s voluntary traffic lights labelling system that can cause unwanted difficulty for labelling.
