European Union (EU) lawmakers kicking off negotiations on the legal texts mandating the bloc’s future anti-money laundering (AML) framework May 11 are set to clash over key issues, notably the threshold for declaring a beneficial owner (BO). The negotiations will involve the European Parliament, the EU Council of Ministers and the European Commission.
