COMMISSION CLEARS PERMIRA HUNGARY PLASTICS DEAL

BY KEITH NUTHALL THE EUROPEAN Commission has cleared the acquisition of Borsod-Chem Nyrt of Hungary by Permira Holdings Ltd of Guernsey, the Channel Islands. A Brussels note said that Permira subsidiary First Chemical Holding Vagyonkezel? Kft (itself controlled by another subsidiary the Permira IV Fund) would take over the Hungarian company.
