COMMERCIAL FLIGHTS BEGIN AT ST HELENA AFTER LONG WAIT

COMMERCIAL flights have now started serving the GBP285 million (USD365 million) St Helena Airport, after wind shear problems that have prevented the scheduling of regular flights were resolved. South Africa-based SA Airlink landed an Embraer E190-100IGW plan on Saturday (Oct 14), which had flown from OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, via Windhoek, Namibia.
