NEW SCALED-DOWN European Commission proposals to tighten controls on the EU chemical industry are unlikely to please the United States, according to Washington's commerce secretary Don Evans. He told journalists in Brussels "I'm going to tell you that although I have not read the draft, I'm going to tell you that it's not enough. It's just not there yet," reported EUpolitix.
