BY MONICA DOBIEIN THE quest to develop a better cockroach trap, American researchers have identified the female cockroach pheromone, producing a powerful synthetic version causing some male roaches to look for sex in less than nine seconds. According to a study by Cornell, New York State and North Carolina universities, published in the journal Science, the fake roach sex scent made male cockroaches - starved almost to death by scientists - forgo peanut butter for a chance to copulate.
