THE ECONOMIC and trade agreement signed yesterday (January 15) by the USA and Chinese governments is designed to increase exports of American goods to China, including textile fibres and textile manufacturing machinery. Under its terms, the Chinese government has promised to increase the value of its imports of manufactured goods from the USA by USD32.9 billion this year (2020) compared to 2017, and by USD44.8 billion in 2021.
