PARIS (ICIS News)--The European Union (EU) Council of Ministers has imposed definitive 34.9% anti-dumping duties on imports of tartaric acid originating in China. One company will be exempted from the duties, because European Commission inquiries found its dumping levels to be slight: Hangzhou Bioking Biochemical Engineering Co. Ltd, of Hangzhou; and two other companies cooperating with Brussels will pay lower rates: Changmao Biochemical Engineering Co Ltd (10.1%), of Changzhou, and Ninghai Organic Chemical Factory, Ninghai (4.7%).
