CHINA ISSUES COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO BOOST FOOD SAFETY

China’s state council, the country’s cabinet, has issued a five-year plan on boosting food safety and risk management across the country.
Looking at head to 2020 and taking account of some measure that have already been undertaken in 2016, “the goal of the plan is to build a tightly controlled, highly efficient management system to ensure food safety in China,” said the Chinese language version of the document.
