CHINA, HONG KONG MOST COMMON SOURCES OF PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS IN 2009 RAPEX NOTES

BY KEITH NUTHALL CHINA and Hong Kong were the most common sources of personal care products reported last year through the European Union's (EU) RAPEX consumer alert service as being potentially unsafe or breaching the EU cosmetics directive. In a report, the European Commission said there were 86 RAPEX personal care product notifications last year, up from 81 in 2008 - both were around 5% of total notifications.
