BY MATTHEW BRACEBUSINESS has not been simple of late for China's paint and coatings industry because of the country's massive economic growth and foreign infiltration, according to Asiacoat.com, the website of the National Paint and Coatings Industry Information Centre. The country produced 1.8 million tonnes of paint for the whole of 2004, and 1.1 million tonnes of architectural coatings, said the Centre in recently released figures.This is an increase of 12% from the 2003 total of 1.6 million tonnes (overall).
